Pixar movie- UP

Postby JMVM » Tue Jul 13, 2010 3:45 pm

Been watching this movie over & over with my wife.( 6 to 7 times). We simply just could not get tire of it and would just want to watch it again whenever we think of Russell.
Really heartwarming story about the adventure of Carl Frederickson and Ellie from the moment they met till the departure of Ellie who for her whole life have being dreaming of going to paradise fall. The old Frederickson is left to fullfill his late dear wife's dream...and with the eviction of their beloved house, the adventure begin when Frederickson hatched a plan to float the house with thousand balloons and navigate it towards paradise fall. Someone unexpectedly turned up to join his adventure and from the moment the unexpected knock on the door, appear a very adorable and cute boy, Russell who insist he must assist an edlerly to earn a batch to be a senior wilderness explorer. This is where all the fun begin. Watching this overly optimistic plump kid's every movement, facial expressions and speech is such a delight and joy.
Try the part where Russel explain his GPS to Mr Frederickson.....his pee poo, pee poo...until he drop the GPS out the window.......oh so cute and joyful to watch. I tell you if you don't laugh your heart out, I don't know what to say.
Very touching adventure and with great pic and sound to go with. The DTS HD 5.1 really gives my system a good workout esp the LFE. Shook my sofa and rattle the windows when Frederickson's house is being lifted and when it got suck into the dark clouds a(cullominous ?). Surround effects are well optimised too. The movie should keep you interested from start to end. If you have not watch it yet, I strongly recommend it and I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as we did. Want to watch it again this weekend ... what say you, dear ?
Russel : come on snipey, snipey....clap, clap...

Yes beantiful movie. Scene near the end when the old man looks through the photo album is one of the most touching in any movie, cartoon or not.
